Cots 4 Tots – A Charity That Helps Families With Neonatal Intensive Care

Cots for Tots provides a place to stay near the hospital to families whose babies are at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The Great Appeal, the charity dedicated to Bristol Children’s Hospital, runs the program. Abbey Silvester ran in support of the AJ Bell Great Bristol Run.

When your child is ready to go to bed, it’s best to transfer them to a bed. This can help prevent resentment toward their new sister. It may also help them sleep better.

The Cots 4 Tots story

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is a nonprofit organization that helps fund the Marine Corps’ annual toy drive. It offers financial, advisory, administrative logistical, and promotional support to local Toys for Tots Coordinators and many other services that the Marine Corps cannot provide. It also distributes informational and educational materials to the public and arranges for national corporations to incorporate information about Toys for Tots into their paid advertisements, and conducts an annual program of public education and public relations.

The Cots 4 Tots story began in 2010 with a fundraising appeal for Bristol’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St Michael’s Hospital. The charity has raised more than tens of thousands of dollars since its inception, supporting families with sick or premature babies across the West of England and South Wales. Its work includes family accommodation homes and the provision of state-of-the-art equipment for the NICU.

Cots for Tots House serves as an “home away from home” for families who are in hospital. It is located right next to the NICU and allows parents to be close to their baby. The charity has helped over 2100 families stay at the house since 2012.

Families who reside at Cots for Tots House can be reassured that they’re not the only ones. They can share their experiences with other parents experiencing the exact issue. They also have access to a variety of facilities to ensure their stay is as comfortable as possible.

The charity also funds an artist who visits the NICU to help reduce the stress and suffering of both parents and their babies. This has been proven to improve the quality of life for the patients and their families. Music therapy can also reduce the amount of medication required to treat these children, thereby saving both time and money for hospitals. The therapist uses specially designed instruments that resonate and are tuned to specific frequencies, and they play soothing tunes to soothe infants. Furthermore, the resonant instruments also generate vibrations that can soothe the mothers and fathers.

The Cots 4 Tots website

The Cots 4 Tots website is the home of a unique charity raising money for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael’s Hospital in Bristol. The charity is a part of Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, and it also supports Cots for Tots House which offers free home-from-home accommodation for families whose children are treated in the neonatal intensive care unit. It has assisted thousands of families during the last decade.

Abbey Silvester’s two kids, Alfie and Mollie, both spent time in the neonatal intensive care unit at St Michael’s Hospital. She says Cots for Tots was “an absolute godsend” and her family and she would not have been able to get through the day without it. “You make friends here, and you build a real community and feel a deep love for one another,” she said. “Without it, who knows what our lives might have looked like.”

It is essential to make the right decision for your baby when choosing a crib. There are a range of sizes and styles to choose from, so you should consider the things you want to consider long-term. A cot should be durable and have good railings. It should also be easy to clean and have a removable mattress. Some cots come with an adjustable height base that is ideal for small children.

Moving can be stressful for anyone however for parents who are expecting it’s even more so. They have to cope with a baby and all the additional challenges that come with it. By hiring a vehicle transportation service early and making some key preparations, you can ensure a smooth move.
